I have decided to sell my 1 month old Flip Mino HD and I have listed it on eBay at a very low price of $150.00. It’s in perfect condition and I’ve only used it for a month or so. The reason I am selling it is because I got a more professional higher-end video camera for the video podcast that also allows me to use an external microphone as well.

I found the same thing wrong with the Flip Mino (non HD) that I’ve owned since the day it came out.
It was absolutely wonderful, when the family got together for a picnic last summer. Taking videos of the children playing was great, and they loved looking at themselves in the more than adequate screen.
But when I wanted to vlog, and speak directly to the camera, I found the sound lacking. It truly needs an external mic jack.
The other problem was the zoom. It has 3x digital zoom, which I found to be useless when I was in the crowd, trying to record the speaker on the auditorium stage.
However, and this is a big plus: I leave it in my coat pocket, so it goes everywhere with me. It is great for recording those unexpected moments. More than once, I’ve said to myself I wish I had a video camera with me, only to realize I did have a video camera with me. The Flip comes to the rescue.
So, like Jeff, I have a love/hate relationship with the Flip Mino. If you feel you can live with the two shortcomings I believe this camera to have, you’d be getting a great deal by bidding on the one that Jeff is offering for sale!
