Hey, I think Apple will FINALLY announce some type of push notifications or background processing for certain applications in this OS 3.0. They will also make changes to the developer SDK according to this feature so developers can take the advantage of having their application gather info in the backround such as IM apps and other apps.

hey you might want to let people know that if they have a jail broken iphone that they may not be able to re-jailbreak it after upgrading to the 3.0 software. Rumor has it that apple is not happy with jailbreaking and was looking to put a block on it. If copy and paste and MMS messaging becomes avalible in the 3.0 EVERYONE will be upgrading, giving apple a reason to put this block in the 3.0 software.

iPhone 3.0 might introduce video recording, video calling, mms and expandable memory. Can call it my wish list ;D

Apple will likely announce the new iPhone OS will include:
1. multimedia messaging
2. tethering trhough USB and Bluetooth
3. Universal search capabilities
4. Completely redesigned user interface
As the new hardware will require and updated SDK and likely a new version to O/S, So there may be a program to upgrade earlier versions….
Lastly, they may unfortunately announce a transition of power due to Mr. Jobs illness:(

I think from what I’ve read that they’ll finally add:
1. MMS
2. Universal Search for email and the web
3. a redesigned UI possibly with more pages
4. enabling the ipod function to support stereo bluetooth
5. ability to forward text messages
6. Cut, Copy, Paste, of course.
And the things I think they WILL NOT be adding are:
1. Video recording
2. Video calls
3. the ability to record phone calls
4. a removable battery in the next iphone design
5. programmable IR to use with TV’s, DVD players, etc. in the next design.
But it would be nice if it did have them.

I am really hoping for the copy/paste feature like everyone else. MMS would be a plus, but with things like twitter, I don’t really miss this feature. I would like an easier way to arrange the icons, maybe from my mac and then update the phone would be HUGE.
As for the jail breaking, I have mine jailbroken right now, but that is mainly for tethering. I am hoping that they include this feature in 3.0 already. I also have the video recording app, but that is not a must. If Apple includes tethering, I will upgrade to 3.0 and not miss the jail broken parts (for now).
