MM54: Sony Ericsson Announces Idou (MWC 2009) and Twitter’s Huge Success (Twestival)

It’s the beginning of 2009′s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain and Sony Ericsson created huge buzz this weekend by announcing their new smartphone, the Idou (note: this name will change when released later this year). The Idou is a powerful smart phone: 16:9 widescreen touch screen, a multimedia power-house with a 12.1 megapixel camera and a Xenon flash embedded in this beautiful phone. As the Moxie Mo shows you, this phone will be a strong competitor to the iPhone, Android and Palm’s Pre.

Also, if you’re not on Twitter, here’s one more reason to be – their very successful Twestival was a major hit last week (February 12th). Twestival was a Twitter-community fundraiser for Charity:Water (they provide clean water to millions of people in third world countries). Over 100 international cities participated in this first time event and Dallas,TX was one of them.
