Wow, this event was, umm, can we say…. interesting. A major power failure delayed the Microsoft event by 30 minutes, but the best part was being able to cover this live with Cali Lewis from Geekbrief.tv (another Mevio producer and friend of mine – I’m sure you all know her!) We had a blast with Cali and Neal (her husband) and it was absolutely amazing to chat with over 21,000 people in the 4 hours we covered the event!

So we were expecting a big tablet as the major news from this chaotic event… rather we got what they called the HP Slate (will this compete with Apple’s tablet… not so much). Seems “cute” but I think Apple will blow them away, personally.

They also spoke of the Zune HD as well as Windows 7…. but these are all things we know of.

Project Natal finally got a good explanation and demonstration for the Xbox 360. Other than that, not impressed…

What are your thoughts though? I want to hear what you think was the best announcement from last night’s big Microsoft event.
